Kia sportage Transmission

marco911 2 posts  (28.6%)	Written 2008-03-06 20:34:04 (914 days) I just bought a Sportage 2.0TD of 2000 and I noticed a little problem..... While driving if I take my foot of the throttle it seems there is some play in the transmission, like a gap before the car brakes on the engine and the same if I accelerate again. The dealer told me the is normal for these types of cars with a long rear transmission beem.... Can somebody confirm that this is indeed normal? Thanks, Marco.	Reply
anton_hachirocku 2 posts  (28.6%)	Written 2009-04-21 17:04:21 (503 days) bro, does your sportage have an automatic transmission??? if yes then why dont you try checking its torque converter... maybe the gap is caused by it. it only needs minor adjustment. But if you have a manual transmission then bring the car to a shop where you can check its oil... also check the drive shaft... universal joint tends to have a juggle evertime you depress on the gas pedal... hope this can help...
